The Richter Boarding House

I recently talked with my friend Linda Wolff Kruzel, who was my high school girlfriend.  She went to school in Canby from K-10th, moving to Clarkfield with her parents our sophomore year.  Her Aunt Minnie [Richter] then owned the Richter Boarding Home, and she reserved a room there upstairs and facing Hwy 75 with a veranda.  Linda and I stayed overnight there on Tuesdays when we had GAA (Girls Athletic Assn meetings) so that our parents didn't have to come into town and pick us up when we were done.  It was a warm and fuzzy place to be and Aunt Minnie had many boarders who had a room there.  They received all their meals there around her big dining room table.
